Love Making & an Enjoyable Sex Life By Tony Vernon, HWC, NMC, AMC, MMC
In the last 10-years with the rise in cost of living I have seen first-hand how many couples and families are struggling to plan quality time together. Economic instability due to the pace of accelerated change with AI and technological advances is disrupting every industry. This is causing uncertainty, pressure, and stress on most couples and families.
The intense busyness of modern life has had another effect. Individuals, couples and families are more in their mind with the perpetual never ending tasks of business and life, and spending little time connecting to their body, and their body intelligence. Furthermore, the expectations Hollywood films communicate to us all about love, romance and sex, add unrealistic expectations, pressure and guilt to sexual experiences in the bedroom. If we were to take to heart Hollywood’s projection of love and romance we would be expecting the highest level of passion and intensity with every sexual encounter, which is completely unrealistic.
I have had more couples than ever before experiencing difficulty maintaining an active and enjoyable sex life with their loving partner. I don’t recommend a sex therapist, nor do I feel the need to spend a lot of time on this topic. I recommend the couple do two things:
- Use: Sensate Focus to simply and easily switch on the lust center in the brain. For support your learning and applying, please contacting us.
- Read: The Erotic Mind: Unlocking the Inner Sources of Passion and Fulfillment by Jack Morin.
As a credentialed couples coach, I have not found the need for sex therapy or working with a sex therapist necessary. Sensate Focus works. I experience at least 80% of couples having challenges to have regular sex. I simply recommend Sensate Focus as a practice to arouse the body. The need for this is partly due to the new world of the internet. People are on their phones and thinking way too much, and are less present in their body. We need to help couples to use Sensate Focus and to develop greater body intelligence to experience a regular and enjoyable sex life.
We help couples to enjoy their sexuality and also to develop greater awareness of their sexuality by reading books like ‘The Erotic Mind’. I have experienced at least 80% of couples having challenges to have regular sex, this I suggest is mostly due to the new world of the internet. People are on their computers and phones and thinking way too much, and are less present in their body. For help as a couple to develop an enjoyable sex life, and to develop greater body intelligence reach out to us.
